Reworking Protocols

  • Master (looking at me sitting on living room floor): We gotta do something about you sitting on the floor all the time. I don't want you to end up with a bad back.
  • Me: Yeah, sometimes my legs bother me after a while.
  • Master: Yeah, we should do something about that.
  • Me: What if I only have to sit on the floor when you're here? Like, if you're in your office or gone, I can sit on the couch?
  • Master: That would work. Cause I don't want you to end up with a bad back at age 28.
  • Me: I need to be able to take care of you.
  • Master: Yes, I'm planning on you taking care of me for a very long time.
